How does it feel….

…to be 6 months old and a world traveller?

What’s not to love? Our new apartment in Port Douglas has a swimming pool that is just the right temperature and I get to go swimming most days. Mum and Dad have taken to dunking me underwater. I don’t mind, the look on their faces is hilarious. My favourite game is swimming around the pool with Dad, I kick my feet and splash my arms, it’s brill!!

I was a bit annoyed though as we spent all day at sea the other day and didn’t get to go in the water at all. Apparently I am too young to scuba dive and they didn’t have a wet suit small enough. I did however get my sticky fingers on a slice of melon…and a biscuit, but mum stole that back again.

Now we’re out of the campervan I have perfected my commando crawl. I love getting into trouble and grabbing anything I can get my hands on. I also love getting my hands on the buggy wheels, they look tasty. Mum and Dad don’t seem so keen on that, I’m not sure why?

I’ve also got a highchair in this new place. I really enjoy hanging out in it. I’m not so keen on mum and dad feeding me with a spoon, I’ve started refusing that. Instead I like to play messily and occasionally pop a little something in my mouth to keep them happy.

It’s time to move on today, that makes me a bit sad. Mum and Dad have promised the new place has a pool and apparently I am going to be spiritually awakened in Ubud, Bali. I don’t really care as long as I can go swimming and don’t get dressed in tie-dye!!

  1. Wow James look at you!!! You’re growing up so quickly, I’m going to need eyes in the back of my head and an extra pair of arms come January it sounds like you’re into everything 🙂 I saw the video mummy posted of you commando crawling you’re such a clever boy. I’m really looking forward to starting our adventures together next year.
Your travels are looking and sounding awesome and I can’t wait to hear more about them in January.
You are like a little fish in the water Hastings swimming pool won’t be quite up to the standard you’re used to, but we can pretend!
Have the best time on your travels and keep the blogs coming they’re brilliant.
    🙂

    1. Hi Lisa. How are you? Saw you were out for dinner on Facebook…with your daughter? Eyes in the back of your head will be essential and despite all the travels it will be good to get BB settled into some kind of a firmer routine. And lots of swimming in Hastings! Take care and see you soon. X

      1. Hi
Yes my daughter drove home for the weekend and my partner was working away so we had a bit of a girly weekend…shopping, dinner etc then went to remembrance service with her great grandad.
Looks like you’re all having an awesome time, I’m looking forward to January!
Take care and have a brilliant time x

  2. Dear James,

It looks like you’re having a fantastic time and growing up fast. If you find yourself wanting to nibble on the wheels of your buggy, let Mum and Dad know you’re hungry with a good loud cry 🙂

Hope you all have a fab time in Bali. I’m very jealous, the view from the 4th floor in Bexhill is good but probably not a patch on Indonesia.

    Karen x

    1. I remember the 4th floor having nice views versus the Annex where I’ll be based on my return! Have you not got another trip planned a la Namibia Karen? You normally have something cooking 😀
